Decorating Tip of the Week
Are you bored of just a clock on the wall? I am absolutely obsessed with clocks, I have to have them all over the house, I love them in all different shapes and sizes and I love this idea! You can buy empty frames at places like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. This one was purchased at Hobby Lobby then we used regular cardboard and glued fabric on the back. Add the clock on top and tada...a brad new look! The awesome part of this whole project is you can change the fabric for a new look any time! You can also update it for different rooms in the house.
Inspiration comes from everywhere!
I went to my hairdresser Brooke's house. I love her house because she has so many cute and creative ideas. She recently just painted her piano that she got from a garage sale and made it into this fabulous piece! I just had to share because this is what truly envelopes taking the old and making it new.

Board and Batten How To's
Board and batten is a great way to create dimension to a wall. Whether you are wanting to create an accent wall, a more dramatic finish than just drywall, or in this case using it as an organization station for my entry way. It's a super fun project that you can tackle in a weekend and have a whole new look!
Decorating Tip of the Week
Take something old and make it new is our motto! Don't want picture frames in black anymore, grab a $5 bottle of spray paint and color them yellow, blue, or whatever color you are into that day! You can change a whole room just by adding small and simple things.
These were all black frames I had laying around the basement collecting dust and I wanted to add a splash of color to our family room. I picked yellow and teal two of my favorite colors and spent the afternoon spray painting! What an easy fix and it totally boosted my family room and gave it a whole new look!
What have you turned from old to new? I'd love to hear all about it!
